My Winter Holiday
I've always looked forward to the winter holiday, which usually lasts from mid-December to mid-February. This year, my holiday was filled with a lot of fun and memorable experiences.
One of the highlights of my holiday was spending time with my family. We went on a trip to the nearby mountain town, where we had an amazing day of skiing and snowboarding. My dad taught me how to glide down the slopes, and I felt so excited and proud of myself when I finally managed to land a jump. We also had a hearty meal at a local restaurant, and it was delicious to savor the flavors of traditional Chinese cuisine while surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the mountains.
Aside from skiing, I also took part in various cultural activities during my holiday. One of the most memorable events was visiting a temple dedicated to Buddha. There, I learned about the significance of meditation and the importance of mindfulness in our daily lives. It was a humbling experience that made me appreciate the spiritual aspects of our traditions even more deeply.
In addition to these outdoor activities, I also spent some quality time reading books. My mother gifted me a collection of classic novels by Jane Austen.
